CSC partners with GoodWorkerto bring 1 lakh job opportunities to rural youth

The Common Services Centersis partnering with GoodWorker, a job matching platform, for connecting blue-collared workers with employers through its extensive reach in rural India.


Launched today, the partnership promises to bring one lakh job opportunities through CSC Gramin Naukri Portal. These opportunities will include profiles like Sewing Machine Operator, Delivery Executive, Customer Support Executive/Tele caller, etc.


Launching the partnership, Mr. Sonu Sood, actor and humanitarian said: “Today is the great day for me. Helping and empowering workers give me a sense of fulfillment. Today’s initiative with CSC will add a new chapter in creating employment opportunities in post covid scenario.”


Elaborating on the partnership, Dr. Dinesh Tyagi, Managing Director, CSC SPV said: “The partnership with GoodWorker will enable us to bring job opportunities to rural youth across the country through our network of more than 3.75 lakh CSCs. We hope this initiative will help rural youth explore employment opportunities in emerging areas of economic growth and support employers get the desired manpower.”


The launch programme was also attended by Mr. R.C.M. Reddy, Board of Directors, GoodWorker , CEO, CSC SPV, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, Chief Operating Officer, GoodWorker, Mr. Ketul Acharya, and other senior officials of CSC SPV and GoodWorker.


CSC PM WANI program launched

Today, Dr. Dinesh K Tyagi, MD-CSC SPV launched CSC PM WANI program. The government has approved a framework for the proliferation of public Wi-Fi networks through PM Wi-Fi Access Network Interface or PM WANI scheme. The initiative aims to elevate wireless internet connectivity in the country. The initiative will elevate wireless internet connectivity in the country through CSCs.


During the launch program, Dr. Tyagi said, “Proliferation of broadband across the length and breadth of the country is an essential ingredient of Digital India. Towards this objective, it is envisaged to leverage public Wi-Fi network for delivery of broadband services. While delivery of broadband is possible through different media and technologies, under the WANI framework, our VLEs will provide the last mile broadband connectivity.”


Under the distributed architecture and unbundling of functions, the WANI eco-system will be operated by different players who are described herein under:


Public Data Office (PDO): It will establish, maintain, and operate only WANI compliant Wi-Fi Access Points and deliver broadband services to subscribers.


Public Data Office Aggregator (PDOA): It will be an aggregator of PDOs and perform the functions relating to Authorization and Accounting.


App Provider: It will develop an App to register users and discover WANI compliant Wi-Fi hotspots in the nearby area and display the same within the App for accessing the internet service.


CSC partners with Fortis Hospital to launch telemedicine service for rural India

The Common Services Centers has partnered with the Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram to launch telemedicine services that will be provided through its network of 3.76 lakh CSCs across the country.


Under this initiative, super-specialty teleconsultations with doctors from FMRI in Gurugram, Haryana, will be provided to citizens, particularly in rural and remote areas,at an affordable price through CSC telemedicine platform.


Elaborating on the collaboration, Managing Director, CSC SPV, Dr Dinesh Tyagi said, “Enabling access to quality healthcare has been one of the key mandates of CSC. During the nation-wide COVID-19 lockdown, over one lakh telemedicine consultations for primary healthcare were provided by the Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) managing the CSCs. Through our collaboration with Fortis, I am confident that the VLEs will be able to function as Digital Doctors fulfilling the aim of taking quality healthcare to rural areas under Digital India.”


Currently, CSC provides telemedicine consultations on Allopathy, Ayurveda, and Homeopathy. More than 4.25 lakh teleconsultations have been done through the CSC telemedicine platform. More than 1,500 CSC Wellness Centres are active across the country, delivering primary medical careto all age groups, diagnostics services, generic medicines, homeopathy medicines, ayurvedic medicines and wellness products, basic eye testing etc.


CSCs celebrate International Women’s Day

CSCs across the country celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March. Women have played a crucial role as change agents under the Digital India Programme. Women Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), many of them first generation entrepreneurs, have made a promising contribution to the success of e-governance services and digital empowerment schemes among the poor and marginalized communities, through the Common Services Centers (CSCs).


On this occasion, CSC SPV organized LIVE webinar on Women Health with Dr. Nupur Gupta, Director-Gynecology and Obstetrics, Fortis Memorial Research Institute.

AICTE partners with CSC SPV for promoting indigenous toy industry to reduce imports

Common Service Centres (CSC) scheme is one of the mission modes projects under the Digital India Programme. There are over 4 lakh CSCs across India providing various services to people across the country.


Under the ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, Toycathon-2021 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos. Government has launched the “Toycathon-2021”, where students and teachers from schools and colleges, design experts, toy experts and start-ups will put their innovative ideas for designing toys and games based on Indian culture.


Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Currently, India’s toy market stands at around 1.5 Billion USD, which primarily is dominated by imported toys. Moreover, majority of these toys do not represent Indian heritage, civilization and value systems.


Toycathon majorly focuses on innovative toys and games using the local stuff which would be economical, affordable, safe and eco-friendly with a vision to develop India as the global toy manufacturing hub.


All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) shall utilize 6,000 blocks/talukas level CSC Academies across the country to promote, create awareness and conduct Toycathon 2021.


The CSC Academy, the not-for-profit arm of CSC, teaches, delivers specialized courses/training programmes, leadership, communication skills and promotion of entrepreneurship among the rural masses in India.


“All 6,000 block-level CSC Academies shall support AICTE to create awareness, promote and conduct toycathon in rural India and this activity would be helpful to understand the creativity among the rural area start-ups, students and professionals for developing and manufacturing toys. These toys may help and solve societal problems,” Dr Dinesh Tyagi, Secretary - CSC Academy said.


Toycathon 2021 is a unique opportunity for Students, Teachers, Start-ups and Toy experts/professionals in India to submit their innovative toys/games concepts and win a large number of prizes worth Rs. 50 lakhs. The grand finale of the event will be organized from 23rd to 25th of February.


CSC SPV launched 101 AyurSanjeevani Kendra in Madhya Pradesh

CSC SPV has launched 101 ‘AyurSanjeevani Kendra in Madhya Pradesh. These centres have been set up to complement and support the Government’s existing AYUSH infrastructure by providing grassroot level access to health and wellness service among rural communities.


Dr. Dinesh Tyagi, CEO, CSC SPV said, “Ay urSanjeevani Kendra is a unique initiative for the empowerment of pregnant women and new mothers. Apart from availing telemedicine consultation through AYUSH, women and children can also avail information and advice regarding aspects of nutrition and health from these centres. Today we have launched 101 centres in Madhya Pradesh. In days to come, we will set up similar centres in all 6000 blocks of the country.”

CSC launched beneficiary registration services for Divyang through ALIMCO

On the occasion of World Disability Day, CSC SPV and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) have partnered to facilitate Divyangs and Senior Citizens to get free rehabilitation aids form ALIMCO under various Government schemes. Registration at CSCs will be free of cost for Divyangs and Senior Citizens. Any Divyang can approach the nearest CSC who will register him/her for the support by ALIMCO.


Dr. Pramodh Seth, Joint Secretary, The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, appreciated the impact and progress made by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) in the empowerment of Divyang in the country. He mentioned that Common Service Centres have played a significant role in Digital India initiatives of the Government.


Shri D.R. Sarin, CMD, ALIMCO said, “ALIMCO, a “Not for Profit” Central Public Sector Undertaking working under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and has been manufacturing various types of quality aids for last 45 years to meet the requirements of Divyangs, across the country. ALIMCO has been serving on an average around two lakh of disabled population every year and has supplied 42 lakh of aids and appliances till date. With the help of CSC partnership, the true beneficiary will be benefitted. This is a free of cost service for Divyang. ALIMCO will pay commission to VLE for this service.”

Hon’ Minister Smt. Smriti Irani inaugurates AyurSanjeevani Kendra in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh

Hon'ble Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development, Smt. Smriti Irani inaugurated ‘AyurSanjeevani Kendra for Poshan Abhiyan’ in Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh through the Common Services Centers.


As a first step, 13 AyurSanjeevaniKendras have been established at CSCs in 13 blocks of Amthi district. These centres have been set up to complement and support the Government’s existing AYUSH infrastructure by providing grassroot level access to health and wellness service among rural communities.


Citizens, especially pregnant women and lactating mothers can avail the following services at these centres: telemedicine consultation in Ayurveda, Unani & siddha; Ayurveda & homeo medicines and wellness products; anaemia and BMI screening for women and children as part of Poshan Abhiyan.


Apart from this, these centres will also carry out promotion of yoga and meditation; identification of severely acute & malnourished (SAM) children and their management; and information dissemination about the importance of early breastfeeding and nutrition in infants and toddlers.


Inaugurating the centres through videoconference, Hon’ Minister Smriti Irani said, “Through CSC, we will be able to reach each and everyblock in the country with basic health services through AYUSH through these centres. It will also help us scale the reach of health services at the grassroots and empower citizens by enabling access to quality healthcare.”


Secretary, AYUSH, Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said, “The initiative of AyurSanjeevani Kendra through CSCs can be a milestone in Indian health services and help us move towards AtmaNirbhar Bharat. In a recent survey, we found that 85 percent of India population has been taking AYUSH treatment during Covid pandemic. These centres will not only function as telemedicine centres but also be a major contributor towards an anaemia free India.”


Secretary, Women & Child Development, Shri Ram Mohan Mishra said, “The traditional Indian medicines have a vast potential in handling malnutrition. The Village Level Entrepreneurs of CSC, whohave already done a great job in furthering the Digital India mission, have now been entrusted the important work of ensuring healthcare through AYUSH for the remote and backward villages in our country.”

7th Economic Census launched

CSC e-Governance Services India Limited in collaboration with Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India launched 7th Economic Census for Delhi using CSC network.


Shri A.K. Sadhu, Director General (SS), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) appreciated the efforts of the enterprising VLEs in undertaking various initiatives of the government. He said, “This time we are utilizing the vast network of VLEs in carrying out the Census. We are also leveraging technology and using a mobile application to do data collection, instead of paper and pen. The main challenge is to collect quality data from respondents. In this process, VLEs should have to convince people on the importance of this process. Delhi has different problems and challenges in comparison to other areas, so, we have to be prepare for that. We are confident that CSCs would help us gather timely data and create a National Asset which can be used for various policy level interventions.”


The workshop was attended by CSC Delhi representatives, Department of Statistics and Program Implementation officials, and other representatives. 300 CSC VLEs from Delhi participated in the event.
